All it takes is a drop of wolf's blood, they say, and the Flower will blossom. That Flower is the key to Paradise.
Even from this distance, thousands of miles away, strange-colored eyes fluttered halfway open. Wherever this energy and power came from was strong enough to alert his inner flower. The flower seeks the wolf and the wolf seeks the flower, they also said. The connection was there; it was faint but it could be felt, and the flower was responding. Their cries reached him, their pain and desperation. They needed to be free and the time would finally be soon.
His eyes watched nothing in particular, couldn't focus, as his mind and body were still in an unconscious state. His expression was blank while he floated upright in the glass container. Water filled his lungs and seeped through every pore of his body to keep him hydrated and alive. That's all it took. A little water and some sunlight. Wisps of grayish white locks floated around, framing the flower's rather pale, delicate features and rosy cheeks. Still he stared into the abyss, waiting for something to come his way and completely awaken him from his year long slumber.
The flower had been left here, though not completely forgotten and not intentionally for so long. He was meant to perish like all the others by a madman Noble who believed Paradise was a Hell to never be sought out. Though one of the man's followers thought otherwise and hid the flower in ruins no one else would ever look, planning to return later, but she had been murdered by the suspicious Nobleman. Which left the only flower - or so it was believed - vulnerable to anyone.
Just days after his partial awakening was the flower found under orders of the Noble Aka. He could finally be sensed and a strong nose had lead them this way. After the flower was yanked away from its comfortable home in the remains of Darcia's castle, he was soon relocated to another tank, in the city, where the impact of wolves' emotions hit him harder than ever.
For a while after his rearrangement Audrey's eyes had closed and he showed no sign of waking up again, but soon enough he grew bored of his confinement. Instead of another blank expression, the smallest of frowns graced his plush lips and when his eyes opened only a fraction they showed a look of forlorn. Wherever he was now - the air around here just didn't feel right.

"Vicereine Aka, are you alright?" Said a soldier standing tall beside the throne like chair. His voice was calm, but filled with genuine worry. Had the mask not hidden his face, a deep frown would have been seen, thick with lines of his displeasure. He had been on his shift for nearly four hours now, and the soldier had yet to see the woman move, apart from shallow breaths. Aka was positioned with her back smack against her chair, face turned toward a dim lit chandelier hanging from the high, arched ceiling. Red hair clung around her loose, limp frame, meshing in with her arms that dangled over the rests. At first glance, one might mistake her for a corps. Her eyes never seemed to blink, lost in some far off stare, and to the touch, her skin was cold. Only the slow rise and fall of her bosom confirmed that she was in fact, still among the living. For the first time in hours, the woman moved subtly. Closing her eyes, long lashes gently ticked the top of her cheek, causing a small smile to grace her pointed face. Beside her, the soldier breathed a heavy sigh of relief. "Vicereine, you had me worried. Are you feeling ill again?" He moved to pull off one of his gloves to test her forehead, but the shift of her hand made him stop. Outstretching her fingers to halt him, Aka exhaled, using her other arm as a brace to push herself up from her chair. As she did, green eyes shot open, resting on the soldier as she cast him a frightening glare. "I'm cold. Fetch me my cloak." She ordered. Her voice was cold as ice, forced from a serpents tongue. With a frantic nod, the soldier dismissed himself from beside her, shuffling down the few steps that elevated her seating area, and delicately picked up a long black coat that was draped over a changing curtain. Holding the thick material as if it were some prized possession, he hurried back to the female Viceroy. Holding the back of the cloak, he faced the opening towards Aka, waiting until her thin arms slipped inside the large mess of fabric, before placing the remaining gathering onto her slender shoulders. Wrapping the material so that it engulfed her frame completely, she turned to face the soldier. "Beta, go gather my dogs that are here. Bring them to the Flower's chamber. I'll be waiting for them there." Similar to before, her voice was icy and distant. Bowing at the order, the Beta soldier watched as Aka seemed to float down to the steps, the extra fabric of the dark cloak dragging behind her. As the twin doors to her sitting room were opened, the woman paused, looking over her shoulder to a slightly raised platform. It was lavished with pillows and soft blankets, an encompassed a good chunk of the wall. "Sigma, Theta, come my darlings." Aka cooed. Her tone was nearly a one-eighty to how she had addressed her soldier. From the nest of plush, two large, feline heads emerged, one yawning to bare incredibly large fangs. With a heave, both tigers rose to their thick paws, leaping down from their platform to follow obediently after their mistress. As each one situated itself on either side of the woman, she grinned slyly. "And hurry, would you? Those mutts have an important task." Aka called back to the Beta. Placing a hand on the tiger to her left for guidance, the three figured took off down the hall.
It was almost to the point where Aka wouldn't have to open another door. Two guards were situated outside every door in her keep, just in case she needed to enter one. Undoubtedly, she was treated like a princess, and the woman relished in the fact that anything could be given to her with the snap of a finger. Even a Lunar Flower, stolen from the depths of Darcia ruins. Dying eyes stared at the glowing sphere before her. The room was dark, and mostly silent, mind the hums offered by the numerous computers scattered about. It was almost a laboratory, minus the annoying scientists that scampered about. In her keep, there was no need for such individuals. The technology Aka had obtained was far more effective than a human could ever be, and countless hours had been put into the main machines. But Aka didn't care, so long as her Flower was kept alive and healthy. Placing a hand gently on the glass, Aka looked past the glowing water to her most doted possession. "Good evening my little flower." She spoke softly, as if addressing her feline companions. Green hued eyes looked over the delicate delicate face high above her own. "Still no smiles for me? How upsetting."

He'd been in a state between sleeping and consciousness when the guards approached, always a bit weary of this place despite the security and rather reluctant hospitality; but hospitality nonetheless. He was fed and allowed freedom to roam at times, as long as his band stayed in place at the ankle. It was Vicereine Aka's mark that acted also as a tracking device. As much as he hated being pinned down and restricted he hated the idea of Paradise even more, and if he had to go through this aiding a Noble to stop that hell from taking over then so be it.
When the bar doors opened, Hiden opened his eyes to find the guard beckoning him and the other dogs over. "Come," he spoke gruffly. The Lady must've finally decided on a plan and was intent on seeing all three of them. He could feel the Flower's presence from his room many floors below and it'd been putting him on edge. Something needed to be done about it. Hiden rose to all fours and trotted out of the big space, following the man to the elevator doors after a leash was placed on them all.
The way there always seemed to take hours with all the floors and hallways but eventually they stood tall before the double doors of the research room. The guards at the door simply exchanged nods with the guard leading the dogs before the doors were opened, and he guided them inside. "The dogs you requested, Lady." He tied the leashes to the nearest sturdy structure then when he was dismissed, he bowed before taking his leave.
Hiden watched him leave before his attention shifted to the large cats on the other side of the room, then to the case containing the Flower. He didn't like either of them and he emitted a low growl to show that, tail held high. What did she call them here for? The fluttering in his chest was annoying...

Darkness enveloped the small prison that the wolves were being held in. Kull was restless, watching the door unblinkingly with his strange orange eyes. He could sense something; the presence of some strange life form floors above – it had been bothering him for the last couple hours, forcing him to stay alert.
When a large man came in and demanded they go with him, Kull wasn’t surprised in the least. He had been expecting Vicereine Aka to call for them soon – ever since the flower had awakened. Light washed in from the hallway on the other side. It took a moment for Kull’s eyes to adjust, but he was on his feet in seconds, standing tall. His expression was stoic, as always. It was nearly impossible to tell how Kull was feeling by looking at his face – he excelled at masking his emotions. But on the inside, he was having a hard time containing his excitement. He was going to have the opportunity of serving the Vicerine Aka. And he would do her proud.
As the man escorted the three wolves, Kull stayed silent. It was respectful to remain so unless directly asked a question. The walk seemed to take forever, but in reality it only took ten minutes or so to finally reach the door that would reveal Aka. He could tell it was also the room that held the Lunar Flower – its smell had been increasing as they got closer and closer.
As the door opened, Kull was hit with the Flower’s scent. Immediately after, he spotted it and could barely take his eyes off of the creature inside. It took all his effort to tear his gaze from it and place them on Vicereine Aka and her ‘pet cats’. He waited anxiously for her to command their next move.

When the guard had come for them, Kibin was in a pleasant slumber. Well, to him it was pleasant. Everyone else was forced to deal with his loud snoring. But, young Kibin was notorious for this. When he wasn't being used for his speed, he was the most lazy, annoying heap of fur around. Be it with his constant chatter, complaining, or falling asleep any and everywhere. The soldier retrieving the three tapped at his sides, adding a bit more force with each jab. "Wake up, dog. Vicereine Aka requests your presence." He said gruffly. Cranking one, light yellow eye at the man, Kibin grumbled, merely rolling over to offer his back to the soldier. 'What does that crazy bat want with us now?' The younger thought, groaning as he curling himself into a tight ball and closing his eyelids. The soldier stood rigid, perplexed that this wolf would have that much audacity. Grabbing the slim wolf by the scruff of his neck, he hoisted the long legged beast to his paws, causing the wolf to yelp in surprise. "I said, get up." Kibin glared up at the Beta, lips curling into a snarl at his annoyance of being so rudely awaken. Releasing the orange furred wolf from his clutch, the soldier quickly clipped on the leash and collar, being sure to pull it tight aginst his neck. Kibin formed a growl in his belly, but fell in step beside the other three.
The maned wolf went along willingly, surprisingly keeping his trap shut for the remainder of their short voyage. He didn't acknowledge his peers, seeming more interested in the leash that was around him. Were such transportation methods needed? Tugging at it, Kibin tested the the leash cautiously, but it didn't go unnoticed by the soldier who quickly slapped his hand away. "Asshole." He grumbled, sticking out a long tongue.
As the four entered the room filled with the Flowers scent, Kibin immediately scrunched up his nose. The smell was almost blinding, and filled him with a burning desire to run up and shove his face against the spherical case before them. Letting his eyes focus on the being trapped inside, the wolf gulped audibly, his usual chatty nature at a standstill whilst he took in Audrey for the first time. Sure, he had smelled him since arrival, but there were floors upon floors that had separated them. Straining to turn his attention on Aka, he tugged once more on his leash. 'Well, doesn't she look happy. He mused inwardly. As his faded yellow orbs came to rest on the prowling tigers, he snorted. "Of course those brown nosers would be here." Kibin whispered under his breath, knowing full well they could easily take him out with a swipe of a large paw.

The flower could sense her and hear her soft voice distorted behind the glass and beneath the water, but he made no attempt to respond. There was no point when she was only human. His senses were suddenly sparked when he caught onto the presence of wolves approaching closer by the second - causing one of the machines hooked to the tank to go off with a loud, steady beep. The wiring connected to his vital signs picked up on the readings but it didn't last for long.
As soon as the wolves entered the room, Audrey's eyes opened wider and he moved his head the slightest to glance over in their direction. His gaze locked with each of them, one by one, from the darkest coated wolf with the piercing orange eyes - to the red colored one with striking yellow - and lastly to the one who seemed the most on edge around him, whose golden eyes were narrowed intimidatingly. With a single glance at each of them, the flower knew they were not the ones.
There was no belief in their hearts, no desire for Paradise to be found. There was even a hint of malice aimed toward him that hurt deep inside, but there was nothing he could do. It seemed they had made up their minds on which path to take and Audrey would not be apart of it. The machine stopped abruptly and the flower turned away again, his eyes shifting to their original bland and saddened expression.
The wolves who wanted to seek him out in return, that actually called out for Paradise, the ones whose blood were spilt from determination to move forward to the better world - those wolves were not here. Audrey felt a bit restless now in his confinement knowing he needed to find them.

As her precious Flower's vital signs began to spring the life, Aka could do little to contain her own excitement. Along side the steady, more upbeat chime of the computers, the woman placed both her thin hands upon the glass, humming in content. Though she had only possessed the flower for a short period of time, this was the most lively he had appeared. Smiling broadly, Aka let her fingers make slow, circular motions around Audrey's container. Beside the woman, Sigma and Theta exchanged glances. Their master was currently in a trance, zombie like state, drowned out from what was going around her. Could a Lunar Flower really be that pertinent to the Vicerein's goal? With an agitated flick of his tail, Sigma rubbed his large head alongside Aka's thigh, offering a loud purr from deep within his belly. At this notion, the momentary spell Aka had fallen into was broken, attention falling to the darker hued tiger. Offering a downfall smile, she let one of her hands slip to rest atop his skull. "Such a splendid creature you are." She directed at the cat.
From the side opposite where Sigma stood, Theta growled. Her ears were pushed forward, broad face angled at the double doors leading out of the room. "Those mutts are here." Theta grumbled, though out of the three in the room, mind the flower, it would only be Sigma who understood. Turning his own bulk to face the doors, the larger of the cats huffed, thick tail swishing to mirror his agitated mood. He hated the wolves. "Worthless animals." He hissed. "I don't see why Mistress opts to send them. I would be much more efficient than some lowly dogs." Theta chuckled, in a very feline manner. "True, but until you somehow manage to produce a mirage to mask yourself amongst humans, you might as well consider yourself a permanent residence to Mistress's side." Sigma responded with a hearty snarl at his companion, and was about to release a savage retort when he was silenced by a flick of Aka's wrist. "Hush now, both of you." The woman warned. As the two doors were pulled open, she turned slowly to face those she had requested. Waiting for the guard to dismiss himself, she remained situated where she was.
Only after she had heard the door click did she move closer to the wolves. A slender hand was placed on Theta's skull, letting the female tiger lead. The laboratory was kept in very dark lighting, with the main source of illumination being the glowing liquid that helped keep the flower alive. "Upsilon, Omicron, Delta." She mumbled to herself, looking at Hiden, Kull, and Kibin in turn. The mandatory ankle bracelets made for easy identification, having the corresponding letter etched into it's surface. Sigma and Theta looked equally disturbed at the wolves. Their faces were scrunched, just barely making the drooping fangs visible, should the trio dare and try something foolish. "You wolves reek." Sigma stated rudely.
Gently, Aka removed each of their bounds, letting a hand rub softly where the collar had been. Her guards made such means of transport necessary, after another of her loyal wolves had decided to attack his human escort. And while she didn't particularly like the canine species, those who had sworn obedience to her were kept in good favor. Glancing briefly over her shoulder, Aka noted the now solemn droll offered by the main computers. The Flower had returned to his previous, almost comatose state. Frowning, she let attention come back to the three who stood before her, be they man or beast. "My pets, as you know, I've been putting in countless hours into the precious Flower. The number of attempts I've made in causing some sort of lively reaction have been countless, and my patience is slowly starting to dwindle. No matter what I do, his response has always been the same." Pupiless green eyes turned upward as a smile donned her gaunt face. "So, my darlings, this is what I require. I need wolves. But, a certain kind of wolf. What I desire are the ones who foolishly believe in the Paradise they think is plausible. It does not matter how many you manage to capture, but they must be brought to me alive, and burning with a will." Tugging the loose material of her cloak more tightly around her, she shivered. Her sickness was returning. "As for those who remain indifferent, I suggest you persuade them to join our cause by any means necessary. Complete my orders, and I assure promise you, each of you will be rewarded greatly." Aka cooed affectionately. "Also, if you happen to run into those working under Lord Darcia...Kill them. I will not stand for some Noble bastard trying to reap my glory. Is that understood, my darlings?"

His gaze had been captured by the flower if only for a moment when their eyes met. It felt as though he'd been looking right through him, right into his very soul, and the persistent pang in his chest finally subsided when the flower glanced elsewhere. He supposed it was only natural to have this strange connection despite how much he didn't want it to exist. This thing would lead everyone and everything to destruction if it got the chance and this weird feeling it gave off, no matter how right it felt, Hiden knew it was only a spell.
His attention finally shifted back to the present, narrowed eyes looking to the cats whose tails swished back and forth from irritation and whose heads were held low in a threatening gesture. The air was rather tense between them all - the wolves and the tigers. It was quite obvious neither race cared for the other. Hiden looked to the human as she began to approach with one of the cats alongside her, seeming to guide her, which was a reminder each time that the Noble woman's eyesight was leaving her.
There was no way he could ignore the growls that resonated from the cats just yards away and, annoyed, Hiden's jaw clenched tight and his ears were pushed forward. "It's called the smell of outside - somewhere you pampered kittens wouldn't know about," he growled right back. Had they even seen the sky before? There was no doubt in his mind Aka wouldn't allow them out in fear of her darlings becoming tainted by the stench of other Nobles, or something ridiculous of the sort.
He was relieved when the constricting chains came off and welcomed the woman's soothing touch against his fur where it'd been, then shook his head briefly to straighten out his coat. When she glanced away and glanced back, Hiden stood on two feet instead. The same strong and golden eyes that watched her as a wolf now watched her as a human and he listened carefully. He could already tell what she had planned for them would be a long and possibly difficult process but the prize would be worth it, knowing her. At least they wouldn't have to worry about Paradise.
Everything she requested could be taken care of by the three and Hiden was confident in that. But he had to know something... "What are you planning to do with the flower?" She wasn't going to open Paradise, that was for sure, so what else could you possibly need a flower for?

A gravitational pull was trying desperately to remove Kull’s eyes from Vicereine Aka and put them on the Lunar Flower. Something about the human-like creature and it’s scent both repulsed and intrigued him. He wanted to be near it, yet he also wanted to run as far away as possible from it. For some reason it was really bothering him that the Flower could make him struggle so much without even physically touching him. How could it make me feel so… weak? He imagined distance from the Flower would remove this weakness, and he planned on putting a great deal of it between them.
Kull bit his lip to release his mind from his thoughts and turn them to his master. Vicereine Aka strode toward them, her cats in lead, and Kull couldn’t take his eyes off of hers. Almost immediately after she removed his collar, he became his human mirage. His eyes still had a bold orange hue to them, and his long, straight hair was a dark, grey-blue – a similar color to what his pelt was. A stoic expression remained upon his face. No matter how much clashing emotions he felt at that moment, no one would see it. It would not be a weakness.
Kull nonchalantly straightened his white button up jacket and brown-grey undershirt before dusting off his grey pants with his hands. His large ankle bracelet could barely be seen above his left shoe. Even as he did this, his eyes remained on hers, calm and certain. Neither the other wolves nor the tiger’s comments could distract him from anxiously taking in each of Lady Aka’s words. She certainly was a sight to see – beauty and power thrown into one package. She could easily bring an entire room to their knees with her presence alone, and Kull admired her for that. Oh what he would do if he had the power and control she did. He could only imagine the reward they would receive for bringing Vicereine Aka the Paradise-driven wolves.
But how could it seem so… possible? Like everything he had been striving for for the last several years was almost in his grasp? There was nothing in the world that would stop him from getting what he wanted. And he vowed to make sure of that – at any cost. Immediately after Kull gave Lady Aka a confident nod that confirmed he understood exactly what she wanted and promised he would bring the wolves to her quickly and efficiently, one of his wolf companions spoke up. "What are you planning to do with the flower?"
Kull raised an eyebrow at the wolf, readjusting his eyes to get a better view of him before returning them to Vicereine Aka. This wolf wasn’t in his place to ask such questions. Certainly she would have told them her plan had she wanted them to know. But he watched and listened, curious as to what her response would be. He had imagined they would learn the truth behind the flower in the end – when they fulfilled their duty. But maybe this wolf’s question would be answered now and would spare Kull the hours of trying to imagine the Flower’s destiny.

As the shackle was removed from his neck, Kibin couldn't deny the soothing feeling he received as Aka wound gently fingers through his fur. While to him she appeared to be a tough, exteriorized woman, those brief moments of affection were enough to keep the younger wolf loyal to the Vicereine. He knew it was merely a mask she forced herself to wear. Any wolf could tell she was becoming weaker by the moment, whether it be her eyesight, or the constant cold she seemed to have. As her hand withdrew from his neck, Kibin scowled. Was their mistress...dying? With the absence of attention from Aka, the maned wolf felt his guise falter. Running his own hand through styled orange hued hair, light yellow eyes stared intently at the glowing, spherical encasement. Or, more so, what was confined in the glass. With the Flower being so close, it almost made staying still unbearable. A feeling from deep within the pup turned, urging him to rush forward and greet Aubrey. To protect him. Fight for him.
'What am I thinking?!' Kibin gasped, glancing quickly beside him. Were the other wolves feeling something similar? Gulping audibly, his train of thought was only broken by the exchanges passed between Hiden and Sgima. Letting out a grunt, he pursed his lips, narrowing his eyes at the felines. "Yeah, you two are about as useful as a bag of rocks. With intelligence to match." Playfully, he stuck his tongue out, eyes curling upwards into a smirk.
Putting his hands behind his head, Kibin let his fingers intertwine, switching to a more serious demeanor as Aka spoke. Of course he would follow her orders, so long as she kept to her promise of reward. His skills weren't free. And the thought of possible bloodshed did it's part by adding to his eagerness, though he wasn't among the best fighters. But, Hiden... Blinking rapidly, he leaned forward to look past Kull and stare at the other male. Did he seriously question Aka in such a way? Kibin grinned. Sure, he had been wondering the same thing, but lacked the guts to ask. He figured sooner or later, he would figure it out, but until then, he would do as he was told.

Sigma snarled at Hiden's snide comment. Pulling his lips back, the male tiger barred his thick fangs. "You rotten mutt. I suggest you learn your place unless you wanna be my next meal. Aka favors us more than she ever would your pathetic breed." A hearty laugh started in his chest, causing almost a wheezing hiss to pass from his long whiskers. Narrowing his eyes, he continued to glare at the wolf, checking first his sign assigned by Aka. An Upsilon. Clearly someone possessing some form of strength. The Vicereine didn't just hand out letters. No, he knew very well that to receive such a letter must have meant he had some prized skill. Sigma had heard that this wolf was a bold one, but also fiercely loyal to Mistress and her cause. Snorting, he moved on to the next canine mongrel. Kibin. While he was the tallest in wolfen form, his appearances now as a human went against him, putting that fox-like mutt shorter than his companions. Sigma cringed. He knew that wolf to be considered annoying. He was young, and loved to hear himself talk. Glancing at the triangle that donned his ankle band, it appeared that speed was this wolf's specialty. Judging by his more leg than torso body, the large male tiger had figured as much. Letting his stare come to the middle of the three, Sigma felt his hackles rising. Kull. The silent giant. Hissing audibly, he wasn't too fond of the gaze Kull was giving to Aka. It held too much emotion and adoration. How would anyone dare to look at his Mistress in such a way? Jealousy rippled through the male cat, feeling the urge to pounce surge through him. However, he was cut short by a remark produced by Hiden.
At Hiden's comment, Aka's expression did not change. She didn't appear angry, baffled, or anything of the like. In fact, she remained calm, staring at the spot the wolf would be standing. Green eyes narrowed only the in the slightest way, but she new better. To get upset with her wolves would prove to be disastrous. They were her main line with other wolves, and more importantly, the wolves who sought out Paradise. Doing something that would cause her loyal brood to resign their obedience to her would leave her with little to work with. Humans couldn't smell out a wolf's scent, and her tigers were too precious to be sent out. Plus they lacked a proper human disguise. The wolves were her only chance...For now, at least. Clearing her throat, she paused for but a moment longer, closing her eyes slowly. Long lashes gently tickled at her cheeks as her mind raced. She needed to come up with something believable, and fast. The truth would more than definitely set her beloved wolves off, and all trust in her would be doubted. Luckily, thinking on the fly was a gift she possessed and used to the full. "My dear Upsilon." Extending an arm from the folds of her cloak, cold fingers gently brushed down the side of Hiden's fleshy cheek. Such forms of affection were common to those who served under Aka. Though rare, it was known that the Vicereine showed affection to those loyal by offering reassuring body contact, be they human, wolves, or wolves disguised as humans. Some mused it was Aka making sure she was still talking to someone, with her vision being so bad. Others were slightly creeped out by her abrupt touching and petting while others were filled with an electrifying feeling produced by her embrace. It was just another side of the constantly mystifying being that formed who Aka was. Withdrawing her hand after a moment, the Vicereine let it fall to her side, vanishing in the folds of her long cloak. Pausing for a moment more, she let her awkwardly developed eyes fall downward. A bold move on her part, showing to them she was indeed bothered by something. Taking in a deep breath, Aka spoke softly, in a somber, sad tone. Almost completely out of character for the woman's sharp tongue. "My pets, please brace yourself for what I'm about to tell you. The reason I require this Flower-" casting a glance over her shoulder, she frowned at the still zombified appearance Audrey was in before returning her attention to the three wolves, "-is because...I'm dying. At first, it was just my vision that was failing me, but as of late, it seems by body is doing the same." Hugging her cloak tighter around her thin frame, she shook as if affected by some exceedingly cold wind. "I have already met with many many human doctors, but none have been able to come up with a cure for whatever my disease is. I'm tired of them telling me I will not survive. My will is greater than that of any human, of that I'm sure. So I have begun to take things into my own hands. By using this Flower, I will merge our DNA, resulting in a longer life for me, and a cure for all my ailments. However, what will become of the Flower, I'm not sure. My guess is death. I'm sure none of you will take offense to that." A wickedly beautiful smile blazed across her face as she stared past half-lidded eyes. Her lie was working so well, Aka couldn't deny how believable it sounded. Plus, with the thought that their beloved Aka was slowly dying, would it not fill them with a zeal to strive to carry out her every whim? The woman could only hope. "With this information, I hope you will not think me weak and frail. Though I am, I still have those who are not." As if on que, Theta and Sigma snorted to confirm their more than willing to tear the wolves to shreds. "But you all love me, don't you?" You would never dream of doing such a thing to me, would you?" Dragging a thin fingers across her bottom lip, she appeared to be questioning the thought. "I love you, I give you what you desire. Under me, you have freedom without persecution by humans. In a sense, I protect you, just like you protect me. By serving me, you have a better life than any neutral or Paradise stricken wolf has. Don't abuse this privilege, my darlings." Wobbling slightly, Aka placed a hand on her abdomen, forming a twisted scowl, reflecting someone in severe pain. Her breathing quickly became more rapid, as if being plagued by some illness. What little color filled her skin vanished, leaving her a pale white in the dark room. Leaning forward, she placed her other hand atop Theta's shoulder, bracing herself. "I'm growing weaker by the day, my pets. I'm not sure how much longer I will survive at this rate. Very soon I will be confined to a bed, and things will only get worse from there. So please, for my sake, retrieve those wolves who still believe in Paradise. With my Flower coming into contact with them, his comatose state will be lifted, allowing me full access to the life that will be roaring through his veins." Straiting her posture, color slowly started to return to Aka's skin, her painful spell over. Though what she had told the wolves about her potential use of the Flower was a lie, they fact that she was indeed dying...was not. She was slowly beginning to wither away like a flower not receiving water. A sad truth, that Aka though only fixable by creating her own Paradise.

He was aware of the glances he received from the other two but merely ignored them. It was a simple question he asked, not an interrogation, so he didn't see why it was looked at as rude or why Lady Aka couldn't answer. They had a right to know what the hell they were doing all this for anyway, didn't they? She may have been a powerful and wealthy Noble but without him or the other two wolves, she wouldn't be able to accomplish very many of her goals pertaining to the flower. And Hiden was very aware how desperately she wanted that. He saw them somewhat as equals in this case, working together, for without one another they would accomplish nothing.
His typically cold and focused expression faltered at the woman's icy touch. Her fingers ghosted over the flesh of his cheek, causing his eyes to widen the slightest fraction and a quiet intake of breath to form in his chest. He wasn't touched often, or at least never so affectionately. The feel of someone else's skin or fur against his own in such a sweet manner felt foreign and strange. Hiden felt as though he was showing weakness if he allowed himself to give in to something as this but there was no way he could deny how comforting and oddly soothing it was. Lady Aka was indeed like no other Noble.
Hiden listened intently as she spoke, surprised by the sudden change of voice. He'd never heard the Lady speak with such sadness before, especially when he was so accustomed to the strength and power she so easily exuded from her presence alone. It was obvious she was very troubled by her illness - physically of course, but also mentally. Lady Aka was not one to showcase any weakness in her character but now was different. With his question answered, Hiden gave a simple nod before glancing briefly back to the flower's container. It was hard to believe that thing, in the blank state it was in now, could possibly spring to life all because of a wolf's will to find Paradise.
Like it mattered though. In the end, as the Lady said, it would die. His attention shifted back to the woman as she suddenly cringed in pain and, instinctively, Hiden started to move to help her stay upright. He stopped himself though when she seemed to help herself just fine, using her precious kitten as a brace. She soon looked to be recovering and with her last words, the man straightened completely and nodded once again. "Yes, Lady Aka. You have our word." They would accomplish her tasks to the best of their abilities, no matter what. They had to.
Not only because she was dying, or because this was their home, or anything like that. It was because they had no other purpose; this was what they were made for. Hiden turned and started for the double doors. "In the meantime, don't strain yourself too much."

Kull was only mildly amused by the bickering of the giant cats and his comrades. They might not be able to contain themselves in a serious situation, but he could. I hope they won’t act this dense all the time, he thought, mentally rolling his eyes at the two. He would be spending quite a bit of time working with them, and if they couldn’t even take some stupid comments meant specifically to get some sort of reaction out of them, then their time together would be way too long for Kull to stand. He couldn’t imagine why Lady Aka would want cats by her side over wolves. On the other hand, if any of them were like these jokes, I wouldn’t want wolves or cats. Kull may have been unable to stifle a laugh had he not been in the presence of Vicereine Aka.
He could feel the eyes of her cats on him, narrowed and criticizing. For just the briefest moment, he turned his gaze to Sigma, granting him with the attention he obviously wanted for poking at the wolves with petty, rude comments. It was an empty, emotionless gaze that showed exactly what he thought of Lady Aka’s pets without having to say a word. They meant absolutely nothing to him, nor did their words. Kull felt like that mere second that he gave to them was a waste of his time, and vowed to give them no more.
His gaze swept over Lady Aka again, evaluating her more closely this time. He was just now seeing the truth behind her physical health. Maybe it was her overwhelming presence that had previously made him blind to the fact that she was becoming weak and frail. She appeared to be having trouble focusing on anything for too long, a sign that her eyesight was slowly leaving her, making it near impossible for her to maneuver without the aid of her kitties. Maybe they are good for something, he mused as Lady Aka strode toward Hiden once again, running her slender fingers along his cheek. Kull noted how Hiden’s expression faltered to her touch. A weakness of his perhaps? He gave a partial grin before tossing the thought aside for the time being – Lady Aka was about to grant them with her plan for the Lunar Flower.
It was extremely apparent that something was bothering her. She was at a loss of words for several moments, but when she finally grasped that of which she wanted to say, they came easily – as if she had never needed a moment to think them up. Confidently she told them about her illness – that she was dying. And that in order to escape death, she needed the Lunar Flower’s full power. But to have the Lunar Flower in full power, she needed Paradise-driven wolves. Kull didn’t doubt the words that flowed out of Vicereine Aka’s mouth, nor did he feel sorry for her as she confirmed his earlier thoughts on her physical health through her rapid breathing and sluggish movements.
Why did it matter if she was dying or not? As long as they could bring her the wolves – which he had no doubt they would be able to do – Lady Aka was going to rule for a long time to come. And as strong as she could possibly be – Kull would make sure of it. As Vicereine Aka finished her speech, Hiden spoke once more before turning to leave the room. Kull too turned in turn to leave, but not before confidently speaking the first and only words he had the entire confrontation with the Noble.
“We will - no doubt - serve you proudly, Lady Aka.” Had it been any other case, he may have swept toward her and offered a kiss upon her hand as an offering of his loyalty. But bringing her the wolves would certainly be enough to prove that to her.

Kibin felt himself flinch at Aka's words. Could their Vicereine truly be dying? Fingers still meshed behind his jagged orange hued hair, his gripped tightened, causing him to pull at the spiked locks. No. Kibin couldn't bring himself to believe this. To him, Aka represented the New World. A place where there was no need for Paradise, cause everything was perfect to begin with. Here, wolves and man would be able to coincide their existence, neither bothering with the other. A fantasy that he figured would be made into reality, so long as Aka was there.
Swallowing audibly, he looked out of the corner of his eyes, lowering his elbow so that he could fully see the faces of both Hiden and Kull. Though he knew they too would be just as surprised, it was their mature disposition that masked emotions for coming forth. But Kibin was young, and didn't have such a grasp on his own feelings. Never would he bring himself to cry, for the maned would thought that to be below him, but he could express himself by other means. Jutting out his bottom lip, the younger was forced to look anywhere but Aka for fear that his hard, overly played exterior may break. As much as Kibin wanted to claim his Independence for not needing such things as 'friends,' or even his 'parents', deep down he knew it was a false gesture. To the runt, Aka had filled that need for a parental role, even if she was a human. It was her that had taken him in, offered him food and living arrangements, so long as he pledged himself to always carry out Aka's wishes to the best of his ability. Why were humans so weak?
Nibbling at his lip and watching the other two leave, Kibin paused briefly, ensuring they had exited. He couldn't let them see this, for fear of his pride being bashed. Disregarding whatever noise the twin tigers made in protest to his movement, the runt rushed forward to the frail woman, linking his arms around her waste. He whimpered softly, though still wearing his human disguise, and spoke in an equally delicate tone. "Please, Vicereine, try and rest. We will do everything you asked of us. I promise." And with that, Kibin released his gently grip, and quickly backed away, wishing his moment of weakness to be as short as possible. Nodding slightly once more, he exited, following after his two companions. Though the idea of working in a three wolf squad did bother him, for the runt preferred to work solo, he figured the two wolves he was paired with weren't so bad. They were among the best under Aka's disposal, so he figured they wouldn't do anything to slow him down. Puffing out his chest slightly, Kibin resumed his bored face, falling in step silently between the two, replacing his hands behind his head.
