A perfect day in the city is hard to come by. But to a human, that day could be so simple as getting a deal on their meat, and possible fruit. Humans thought the world was coming to an end, and they deserved to think that much. But they did at least deserve their gentle up lighting moments. But to wolves, a perfect day was almost impossible, at least in the city. But Toboe didn't mind, and he didn't let the humans disturb him. The other wolves told him that he should lay off, and be more 'wolf-like'. But there was so much stuff he liked about humans, and how they went about their lives.
"Get off my stand, ya damn boy!" Toboe opened his eyes and looked down on a grisly older man. His bread needed to be trimmed, maybe cut. Toboe didn't want to be a jerk, or a rude child, so he leaped off the stand, wanting to offer his indulgences, but there wasn't any words to say. The man shooshed him off, and Toboe was left to wander down the streets. Smells filled his nose, and loud noises clanked like vicious explosions. If anyone watched him closely, they would have thought he was insane. Wincing at yells, gritting his jaw at violence, and saliva forming too much for a human. Good thing nobody bothered anyone in the streets. Life in the city was already bad enough.
Toboe was going to make his normal route, pushing his hands into his jeans. Pulling out a few coins, he walks up to a familiar stand. Sal, an older man, smiled at Toboe. After a few months of serve, Toboe and Sal became close, and Toboe used that to his advantage. "Toboe, my boy! Where have you been?!" With a loud laugh, Sal slapped a broad hand onto Toboe's shoulder, shaking him up for a bit. Toboe smiled back and laced his hands together, cupping the back of his head. "Sal, things aren't very easy in the streets, ya know!" Sal didn't know Toboe was a wolf, but heck, that was always the best thing. Humans would freak, hunters would be called, and royals would be sent after him. Sal would even turn against him.
Even Sal would...

“Damn humans.” A tall, slender, white-haired figure muttered sourly as stood atop a building, looking down into one of the many alleyways of Freeze city- a place he knew like the back of his hand; being an expert thief it’s a must. The tan skinned young man held his hand to his left shoulder lightly as if holding his hand there would ease the dull ache. The skin was bruised but it was something Tsume could bear, the pain was simply obnoxious. One of the members of his gang decided to attempt a coupé with a small group and usurp the throne-as it were- from their leader. Now that that game was over, Tsume was out for vengeance. No one made a fool of their leader and got away clean.
From below, a single young man was seen running; almost gasping for air. With this man in sight, Tsume let his arm fall gently to his side before silently making his way down. The man stopped at the mouth of the alley to catch his breath.
“You humans piss me off.” Said Tsume, now standing behind his former member- who, in hearing this gave a hiccupping gasp and whirled around almost managing to knock himself off balance. “Ts-Tsume…Look I..” “Thought you could succeed and now that you’ve failed you’re sorry?” Tsume growled before grabbing the man by the collar of his shirt and snarling, “It doesn’t work that way, pal.” The man screeched and tried to push away, frantically kicking at his former leader. The white haired man released the other with a push forceful enough to have him trip and land awkwardly on his backside, the man gave a startled cry as he was shoved and scrambled to his feet as quickly as he could and turned to dart off down the center of the marketplace. Tsume clicked his tongue disapprovingly before setting off to chase the other.
The grey wolf watched as the man ahead of him stumbled out of people’s way and clumsily weaved his way out of the mass of bodies whereas Tsume deftly and silently darted through the crowd with little effort. Gold eyes scanning, Tsume began catching up with the other before his ex-gang member ran by a stand and purposely knocked over the crates of fruit in hopes of slowing his chaser down- it did just that. Tsume skidded to a stop and sidestepped to avoid being hit by a person in the crowd who had been pushed aside from the young man. The tan skinned man cursed before making his way around the large pool of soiled food, but as he turned his head, his golden eyes locked onto a small boy who was only several feet from him. The grey wolf paused in mid-step, apparent shock on his face from seeing another of his kind. This one was only a pup, what was a runt like that doing in a city such as this? He almost started to say something, but his first priority came to the forefront of his mind and quickly went on to the task at hand. He glanced ahead of him, thankful that he could still see the bobbing head of the one he intended to chase down, he gave one final look at the small, red wolf and dashed off, his figure disappearing into the sea of people.

The click of heels against cool pavement was almost melodic. It chimed with a balanced rhythm, never faltering, evidence of a confident walker. In streets like these, confidence could be taken one of two ways. Either you truly were a force to be reckoned with, and could easily take down whoever dare approach, or, it was nothing more than a bluff. And with the added fact that it was a woman, strikingly beautiful at that, any individual would be more than inclined to think the latter. Oh, but how mistaken they would be. When walking along this wretched city, the woman would never stick to alleyways. She preferred to keep to the busier streets, where a possible thief wouldn't feel as empowered to try anything funny. True, if it came down to it, the dark, choppy haired woman was more than capable of handling her own, but she avoided such unnecessary risks. It wasn't her nature to want to cause harm to anyone. Especially humans. Somewhere in the depths of her heart, she had created a soft spot for the race. More times than not, it proved to be troublesome. Whether it was fetching food for some orphan kid idling around, offering help to a distraught mother trying to gather children before nightfall, or, as her current 'mission' would put her, running a grocery errand for an elderly man. Pathetic, some may say, but this man had practically saved her life. She was indebted to him for offering his house as a shelter. The man, Edgar as he was called, knew her only as the pretty female with a color for a name. Not as the monster some might mistake her for. Only at nightfall, would she allow herself to 'stretch her legs'. The cities lack of sufficient lighting proved to be useful to her, allowing her deep coat to mesh into the shadows of the streets. She would never venture too far from Edgar's house, usually sticking to a planned route that would encompass his block. To her, it was more like keeping her 'territoy' safe from intruders. And while on her occasional nightly stroll she would pick up the scent of fellow brethren, the halfbreed would never pursue. They had their lives, and she had hers. So long as they never crossed paths, she would be content. For any onlooking wolf, her chosen lifestyle of leeching onto humans may have come as some anomaly, and frown upon her choices. But, to be frank, the female didn't give a damn. Who were any of them to butt in on her life? Had any wolf ever given her the comfort humans had? No.
Eyes sifted to agitated slits as the grip around the brown sack in her arms tightened. A pungent odor tickled at her pointed nose, causing thin lips to form into a frown. Even disguised as a human, her sense of smell was phenomenal. Just like a wolf. And the scent she had picked up on was indeed, just like a wolf. Arching her shoulders upward, the black collar to her coat tangled higher into her hair, shielding a large majority of her face. As if that would help. Wolves would be able to see right through the halfbreeds mirage. As she continued her brisk pace down the open streets full of vendors, her breath hitched. A newer stink filled her nostrils. Similar to the first, it undoubtedly belonged to a wolf. Oh, the irony. Emitting a low, canine like growl, she paused mid step. Judging both smells, either weren't too far off. "Easy girl..." Blue said to herself, closing light blue eyes and inhaling deeply. "Just ignore it." Cranking one eye open slowly, she let her gaze shift through the sea of humans. No sign of a wolf, but the scents were slowly growing stronger. Skirting towards the curb of the market, she stopped at a vendor who offered small chocolates. A personal, though unhealthy, favorite of the wolf. Acting as if she were a browsing customer, she concealed herself behind the large canopy of the vendors umbrella. Undoubtedly, whoever the wolves were would be able to smell her. But if she could avoid being spotted, it would work in her favor.

Toboe laid down, his body cool against the floor. Fur was hard to keep cool, but while he snacked and continued to make sure he was well kept, something flared in his nostrils. Looking up quickly, he saw a quick flash of movement. Dashing forward, he leaped onto a stand, looking as two men raced, but while a white haired male dashed behind a man, and out around, he noticed him. He turned in his tracks, his wolf eyes targeting him for some reason. Toboe folded back his ears a bit, giving of a feral recognizance that he was a wolf. Studying the blue fur, Toboe wondered what a wolf was doing in the city. The wolf hesitated, as if it was going to chase him next, but his muscles twitched at the last moment and his form was lost in the waves of humans. Toboe didn't know exactly what was going on, but it wasn't god if a wolf was in toll. Jumping down off the stand, he landed on two feet and also entered the crowd.
The deeper Toboe got into the humans, the harder it was to move. Silent consideration hummed through his mind. Wouldn't it be easy to let his form drop? Become a wolf and scare all humans away? But such actions left wolves dead, and humans happy. Elbowing and shoving was what he was resorted to now. Another scent slammed into him, causing him to stop. It was wolf too, but a lot closer. It might just be the other wolf's, but this was close. Spinning on his heels, he noticed someone with a coat tightly wrapped around them. Something about them screamed, 'Dangerous, Feral, Animal'. Toboe took a few cantering steps forward, and then sprinted. As he rounded around the person, he noticed she was female. And wolf. Toboe smiled, giving off an almost warm glow. Two wolves in one city? Not including himself, of course. Something might just be happening. Something good. Toboe wasn't going to let them all pass away from him so quickly.
"Hey, did you see the other..." Hesitation crippled him as other humans leaned in, and watched his every move. Words were guarded in the city, for what you heard, could be the secret that would kill you at night. "...The other...Gang member?" That wasn't the right phrase either, but it rewarded him less stares. More people responded normally to gangs then anything else. Toboe was cautious himself, because this wolf was strong enough to live in this city, than that meant they had to be tough. Not every wolf was comforting like Toboe. "Come on, we don't want to miss this." With that, he raced off through the crowd that seemed to have thinned out by now. The scent of the blue wolf was close, so close that it was only a little more.
Racing down an alley or two, he didn't look back for the other she-wolf. If she wanted to follow, Toboe would welcome her, but if she didn't, than that might have been wise as well. A situation like this could get difficult fast. Four paws smacked the cement as Toboe raced down allies, taking quicker routes towards the action. Crows cawed and busted out of trash-cans, leaving trash litter every aspect of the ground. In a single leap, the wolf cleared it all, covering more ground than he had in weeks. But the stretch of every leg was amazing. His jaw stayed closed, while his ears flapped freely.
Up ahead, he ran through three clearings, leaving humans gasp at the young, rude, boy running through the streets. But in the allies, he was a monster to them. A creature that was rumored to haunt them and threaten their existence as well. But Toboe had a different goal in mind. A place that was also rumored about. Paradise. There were nobles that believed it was fake. A place that would only cause the death of humans and wolves, but Toboe knew that something so good couldn't harm anyone. Wolves were even against the heavenly realm of Paradise. There was still wolves that fought for his cause though, and those he wanted to stick to. But something more urgent cleared his thoughts; the scent again.
Before he could control his speed, he galloped into a clearing, seeing a blur of blue fur, and suddenly he was airborne. Spinning in the air, he tried to grasp where he was, and where he might land. But as the ground smashed into his back, Toboe whimpered and rolled in the dust, cutting his fur up and leaving him disoriented. Laying there, Toboe wondered what the hell hit him? Glancing back up, he glimpsed the blue fur again. Whining, he lowered his head, feeling pain erupt all over his lupine body. With all the pain, there was no aspect of keeping his body hidden, so he wasn't surprised when he heard a call behind him.
"Boss, he's annata wuf." Rough hands wrapped around his muzzle, while more picked up his body. Toboe twisted his body in different directions, but couldn't break free in his current state. His ears flattened against his skull, but there was no way his teeth could be bared.

If it weren’t for so many damn people, the tall white aired man would’ve torn his former gang member to shreds. “Bastards. They always run.” Tsume thought disdainfully. They always ran, didn’t they know he couldn’t be outrun, outfought, outdone? He was their leader for a reason; better than the rest. This race was a waste of time, all it managed for the grey wolf was to piss him off.
Up ahead, the former gang member was falling out of step and his breath came in gasps, he regretfully looked behind him to see his leader right on his heels. Just a little longer… He looked ahead and stifled a loud cry before clumsily diving over a small stack of crates that stood protruding from a vendor’s cart. Hastily, the man climbed to his feet and stumbled into a run and upon reaching a corner he looked back briefly and disappeared behind it.
“Goddamn it.” Tsume sneered, feeling annoyance towards his clumsy member, how could he have let him in to his gang? What was he thinking?
Pawns.
Useful tools only in the aspect of using them to get away. He could care less if they died, no one would miss them anyhow. The grey wolf shook his head as if to rid himself of his idle thoughts, he had to focus. Tsume rounded the corner and discovered a maze of twists and turns- as was usual in Freeze city. What a poor design, it was as if it were made for criminals, no one would've been able to catch this man if they were chasing him; no man- except a wolf. Tsume clicked his tongue before scaling the walls off the flanking building on either side. Upon reaching the roof, Tsume began his trek over them, jumping from that building to the next, pausing briefly to pick up his prey’s scent. The man’s stench was easy to pick up, but that’s not what grabbed his attention.
The pup.
He had picked up the runt’s smell now and wondered why he hadn’t noticed it before. Tsume started to move again, automatic steps towards his former gang member, but his mind was elsewhere. He deduced it was because he was so focused on chasing after this traitor that he failed to notice, upon further investigation with his nose, he picked up another scent that was very faint by now as he was far from the source.
Something darted by on the ground below, immediately Tsume’s eyes locked on. A small satisfaction curled the edges of his lips in finding his prey. Deftly, Tsume climbed down, every muscle in his body tightening and acting as a spring ready to unleash and spring… The man turned made it to the mouth of the alley and proceeded to run out into a vast open space. The smirk that had formed on his visage before grew. There was no place for him to hide now. Just a few more strides and…
A vehicle came to a screeching halt in front of the former gang member and a half a dozen men climbed out the tarp covered back, all with crowbars or other blunt objects. The two running men slowed to a stop, the former member turned around, huffing but smiling. ”Well, Tsume? Do you like my little gang, do you remember these faces?” Tsume looked from one to the next until his eyes landed back on the one who spoke. ”So you’re the leader of this merry band of misfits…It’s not wise to get cocky, you have no idea who you’re dealing with.” Tsume replied, almost in arrogance himself. ”I’m offended you’d bring only a small handful. You’re gonna need more than that to bring me down.” The man chuckled at that as one man stepped from the passenger’s side of the vehicle and handed him a gun. ”Tell me Tsume; can you dance for a semi-automatic?” The ring leader said before pulling the trigger, the muzzle aimed for the grey wolf. Several rounds went off and Tsume quickly danced to the side then back several feet, but just as he did so, a tan figure blurred past him and landed several feet in front of him, the creature yelping as it landed roughly and rolled. ”Boss, he’s annata wuf.” Tsume heard one of the traitors say. The white haired man could only stare wide eyed at the wolf that lay several feet away.
”The runt!” His thoughts screamed in recognition. ”Goddamn it!” He cursed silently in his mind. “That’s not a wolf you idiot!” Tsume yelled in disapproval, sounding offended by the man’s obvious folly. ”Look at the size, it’s a house pet.” But by now some men had grabbed a hold of the young wolf.
”Bring the thing to the back of the truck; I’m sure we’ll get money for that.” Said the ring leader, “Now, Tsume, if you would kindly stand still so I can…” But their former leader was already a blur, he moved at blinding speed. Taking the combat knife from the inside of his vest he swung it to the side of his waist then arched the blade at an upward angle. A gargled cry emitted from one man as he fell clutching the front of his throat, his life pooling around him. The blade sliced again and another cry was heard and Toboe was set down. The former gang members backed away, leaving Tsume wielding his blade in front of his chest, his stance stiff and protective.
”Surround ‘em. They’ll both die.” Said the ring leader, and the men did just that whilst brandishing their knives and other objects that glinted in the afternoon sun.

While her body stiffened at the younger males approach, the tanned female maintained a pleasantly bored expression whilst he spoke. This wasn't her territory, so she felt no need to be angered. Slightly annoyed was more fitting. She had, after all, tried concealing herself. Not that it would have done her much good though. It was a wolf that stood before her, not some foolish human. His heightened sense of smell would easily be able to detect and shift out her own canine scent. Blue remained silent, raising a curious brow to whatever it was the small male was trying to convey. 'Gang member?' She thought, scoffing slightly. What interest would she have in some petty, good for nothing crook? She detested with every bone in her body those thieving, impure, selfish, merciless beings. They were the absolute scum of the town to her, and in such a raggedy city as this, such a title was very low.
As quickly as he had came, the little male was off. Undoubtedly on the trail of the other wolfs scent she had caught earlier. The grip around her large paper sack filled with groceries tightened. Why would he want to pursue another beast? Blue pursed her lips, watching him disappear into the many twisting alleyways. He was a curious pup, to say the least. But here, curiosity really did kill the cat. Or wolf, in this case. The female groaned audibly. Wherever the smaller was headed, trouble was soon to follow. Especially if gang members would be involved. And in no way could she live with herself for letting potential harm fall to the pup. 'Damned female nature...' the she-wolf grumbled. She would follow, but only until she was certain the little male was safe. Edgar was still expecting her before dusk. Taking off quickly, Blue used her nose to guide her. Even with constantly maintaining a human mirage, her sense of smell was wickedly strong. She allowed the two scents to create a sort of path, moving at a mild jog. After all, she was carrying Edgar's food items, bread and eggs, among other things. Her feet stepped silently, ensuring not to let her heel touch the ground. Towered by the high cement walls, it would echo, and give her position away to unwanted mongrels.
"Surround 'em. They'll both die." Blue paused, sucking in a small gasp of air as she shoved herself against the wall. Just one step further, and she would have rounded the corner, putting her in an unnecessary predicament. Luckily, one of the humans had spoken up. Whatever was going on in the alleyway was definitely not good. Two strong scents of wolves greeted her, mixed in with the pungent odor of human blood. Obviously some sort of fight had broken out, and she cursed under her breath. "Damn fools." Blue mumbled. Again, it would be going against her nature to just up and leave. With a sour expression, the tan female placed her bag down at her feet, before sizing up the wall she was leaning against. Within a few short leaps, it was scaled, and she peered cautiously over the roof, down to the scene below. Immediately, Blue froze. In the middle a tightening circle of human thugs stood the clearly agitated wolf, keeping up his human appearances, whilst the rust brown pup lay on the ground. Sky hued eyes grew wide. Was he insane?! To lower the disguise when alone was one thing, but ti do it amongst humans was practically a death wish. Her mind raced, as she quickly thought of a plan.
In a flurry of black and tan, Blue leapt down from the roof she had been hiding on, colliding with a henchman wielding a sledgehammer. The force of her impact on his back sent him to the floor in a huff, the air being knocked out of him. With the heel of her boot, she ground it into the mans skull, forcing the man to practically eat the pavement. With as cold a voice as she could muster, and a malevolent gaze to match, Blue stared at the individual who appeared to be calling the shots. Obviously, she had caught them slightly off guard. "Give me my dog back." She hissed. With a thin finger, she pointed at the rust colored heap of fur. Practically ignoring the other male wolf, she dug her heel in deeper, causing the man below her to utter a cry of pain.

There was no more talking. Tsume unleashed a feral fury onto the humans, and while a knife slide into thin skin, Toboe slipped away. Falling to the ground, he leaped towards the next human, embedding his skin into the humans calf. A scream tore from his lips. When he started to hop, Toboe leaped onto his chest, teeth enclosing around the neck of the human. Before blood could fill his mouth up, he released and leaped off. Landing back next to Tsume, he squared his shoulders. Tsume might be able to hide his form still, but Toboe would have to fight as a wolf now. Iron filled his mouth, and while his tongue flickered to cleanse it away. A deadly command was given by the humans. Some squared away guns, while some unsheathed weapons similar to Tsume's.
"Kill 'em. Kill 'em dead!" Toboe didn't know there was other ways to be killed, but hey, he stood still, waiting for a shuffle of a foot to attack. Tsume would cover his back, or if now, the wolf would just run away. While his senses increased with adrenaline, there was the undeniable scent of that she-wolf. Right around the corner she was standing, or awaiting. What if she was an anti-wolf? Had she organized this all? Toboe knew he could attempt to fight a band of humans, but humans and a wolf was almost a death match. But her body suddenly slipped around the corner. She stood tall and proud, her body bluer than the Tsume's coat. Tail held defiantly, she strolled towards them.
Toboe heard her saw it was her dog, and she pointed to him. Toboe. But that was strange. He wasn't a dog, and this she-wolf was clearing on the wrong end of this argument. "Your dog? Your dog that jus' killed som'ne?" This was also true. Toboe had killed someone, but this was his chance to run now, or at least distract the humans. He wouldn't run from Tsume at a time like this, but if they thought he ran away, he would make sure Blue jumped on an attack with him. While the man addressed Blue, Toboe ran towards her, passing the man. Standing beside Blue, he turned back to look at the gray wolf. A look passed between Toboe, and hopefully Tsume. He wasn't going to leave him.
Pressing himself up against Blue, he tried to act as friendly and dog-like as possible. But something about it seemed wrong. It seemed affectionate, while he rubbed up against the blue fur of the she-wolf. The humans only saw a human and a wolf, but to them, it was strange and unlike the two unless there was love or other emotions in play. Toboe threw away such shames though, for this was getting difficult, and a plan was needed.
"Lady, you can't take dat wuf!" The man ran towards the she-wolf, but Toboe lunged a few feet forward and snapped his razor-sharp teeth at him. There was no doubt that a dog would be protective of it's master.

The runt was now up and fighting along the white haired man. Tsume watched as the tan coloured wolf successfully attacked another gang member. He wasn’t completely useless at least, there’s nothing like dealing with a complete damsel, but even so, this was just a kid, he couldn’t be capable of anything more than getting himself injured. Or killed.
”What’re you doing? Get out of here, runt.” Tsume snapped in his gravely tone- an old habit of his. Before he could focus on the remaining gang members, a flash of movement caught his eye and as the grey wolf turned to look, the scent of the she-wolf hit him and at that moment he recognized that as the faint scent from before. Blue had easily taken out another former member and had taken upon herself to keep his head wedged between the heel of her boot and the hard ground. He ‘tsk’ed at this, annoyance rising once again, but didn’t speak once she spoke up about Toboe being her dog. ”So she’s not an idiot.” He thought with a bitter detached sort of amusement.
The ring leader soon decided this was enough and after seeing Toboe walk to the woman and lash out at one of his followers he had had enough. ”Enough!” He snapped and pointed his gun at the woman and her dog. ”Take your dog and get out of here, our business isn’t with you, but if you stay here it will be. Get him.” He motioned towards the tan skinned man who quickly glanced at the circle of members around him; sizing them up before looking at the other two, specifically Toboe. Their eyes locked and a significant look passed between them.
”Don’t just stand there, get out of here!” He barked; voice barely below a shout. The crowd moved in then, all seeming to dive at him in unison. Tsume blocked the first oncoming blow by raising his weapon to parry a crowbar that came down in a harsh vertical arch; pushing it away he slashed the weapon at the man before whirling on his heels and defending against the next set of blows and lashing out when he could. At last a successful blow was landed on a man who pulled his weapon back too late, Tsume had already slashed at his chest and the man stumbled out of the circled with a cry, hand dropping the weapon to apply pressure to the large laceration on his chest and shoulder. By now-hopefully, the other two had run off, this wasn’t any place for them.

Blue subtly bit her lip, doing anything possible to keep her mind off what the rust furred wolf was doing. It was part of the act, and she needed to continue her role. Using all her willpower, she extended a tan hand, and let it trace up and down the wolf's skull. Never before had the she-wolf ever considered petting another of her kin. It felt wrong, and the desire to lash out at the little male for being too close to her 'bubble' burned within her belly. 'What did I get myself into?' Blue groaned inwardly.
Stepping off the man she had tackled, who by now was unconscious, her glare once more returned to the one calling the shots. She said nothing, but if looks could kill, the human would have been shot, killed, gutted, stuffed and mounted by now. Acting all high and might. It made her sick. With a disgusted face, she let the hand that was petting Toboe's head fall down to rest on his neck. Perhaps a little too forcefully, she grabbed his scruff, or what little the lanky wolf had. As she had seen humans do to dogs who needed to be thrown outside, Blue dragged the younger along, quickly turning her back on the scene to return to the alleyway she had came. After all, her groceries were still sitting there, in the open, missing only a 'Come Take Me, I'm Free' sign. Looking over her shoulder wasn't necessary. Blue could hear the fight, and imagined it perfectly. Heated breaths. Missing swings, accompanied by landing blows. The sound of steel against claw. Ripping of skin, and eruption of blood. Her nose curled up in displeasure.
Rounding the corner, and out of sight from her skirmish that was going on but feet away, Blue released the wolf. Snatching her brown sack up quickly, she took a few steps back, having been close enough to the stranger of a wolf she had, for some reason, offered to save. A frown donned her face, as those icy blue eyes peered half-lidded into Toboe's golden ones. The pup was young, and obviously had some fight in him. Of course she couldn't expect him to up and leave the surrounded lone wolf. Such a naive nature. Blue broke the stare, as she heard an almost bone shattering blow echo amongst the walls. Could that have been offered by the wolf, or inflicted upon him? Blue winced. Was she really considering going back to help the male? "Watch this bag." She stated, placing the groceries at Toboe's feet. "And stay put." Yep. With one last fleeting scowl at the rust furred wolf, Blue quickly darted around the corner.
Her victim must have been too occupied with with trying to land a punch at the silver wolf, for he obviously didn't hear the rapidly approaching click of heels running on cement. It wasn't until a fist smashed against the back of his shaved head did the burly man turn to face his attacker. "What the hell?" He shrieked, rubbing the back of his skull. A large, bloody knot had already formed. His face looked irate as he broke off from the circle encompassing Tsume, and squared off with the she-wolf. "You wanna tango, sweet cheeks?" He grinned, readjusting his grip on a short blade he wielded. Blue growled at the man, letting her hands curl into another fist. She had to keep from getting too worked up, lest her mirage falter, and the lot of them stare at a wolf mix, instead of a woman. "Just back off. I don't want to hurt you." She warned, though there was some bit of a plea in her voice. He, after all, was a human. And, for some reason of another, even being a thug, she didn't wish to cause harm to the individual.

Toboe's body responded towards the she-wolf. A growl rose into his muzzle, but he inhaled the noise back. While she drug him back towards the ally, Toboe couldn't help but watch as the humans tagged up on the other male. This she-wolf better know that he wasn't going to sit til while he fought. The rust-colored wolf watched as the bluish-wolf considered what to do next. Toboe was slightly surprised that she didn't just get her bags and leave. But she was, in fact, a wolf too. But an aroma hung around her like a mist, giving off the scents of human, and wolf. Maybe she wasn't true wolf, but Toboe never herad of a half-breed or something.
With a command, the she-wolf took off, leaving Toboe in the dust. When she disappeared around the corner of the building, Toboe was left alone. Looking at the bags, he knew that he wasn't going to stay still. Picking up the bags, he looked for a storage of sorts. Looking high up the sides of the buildings, he noticed a window-sill. Taking a few leaps, he was up against the window in seconds. Carefully letting the bag down, he readjusted some items that wanted to break free of the she-wolf's formation, and tumble towards the ground. Satisfied, he leaped down, landing on all fours.
Slowly creeping up around the corner, Toboe noticed the gray-wolf was surrounded; hopelessly. But what was more strange was that the she-wolf must have just attracted attention, but didn't attack. Her frame was stiff, unnaturally. Fear and hesitation lingered around her. Pushing off the ground with powerful hind legs, Toboe faced off towards the male facing her. Brushing past the female wolf, Toboe enclosed on the male. The human turned to leave, screams ripping from free lips. With his back to Toboe, he left himself open for a easy kill. With a launch, the wolf pounced onto the back, sinking teeth into the neck. Digging his teeth around, he found a soft joint, and snapped down. The screams stopped.
Toboe fell with the man to the ground, and stood over him. More humans looked at him now. Glancing back at the she-wolf, he barred his teeth and snapped down a few times. Rough barks left his mouth, while blood splattered into the air around him. It was a time to fight, and Toboe knew that if the she-wolf wasn't going to help, than it was she who should be holding the groceries. Turning his attention back to the humans at hand, Toboe sunk to the ground and growled menacingly, shaking with anger. Aiming for a human near the male wolf, the brown wolf dodged knifes and crowbars that were aimed for him, but were easy to miss. Zeroing on his target, Toboe bit into the upper thigh, dangerously close to the groin. Taking a few steps back, he shoved the human over with his sheer might. With his enemy downed, he ended his life and ran to the gray wolf's side.
Looking over the humans, Toboe wondered if they would stand, or if they would flee. "Damn wolf! Kill him! Kill da girl!" More men hustled towards the she-wolf, seeing her as an easy target. Toboe hoped that a flight-or-fight instinct would take place, because another man rushed him. Slashing down with his knife, the silver glittered in the air, and left a deadly stream of crimson through Toboe's fur. Surpassing a yelp, the wolf lashed out with two paws, aiming for the face. The skin was easy to penetrate, and Toboe had successfully left another human out of the fight. How many more where left though?

Tsume glanced over to where the other two should have been and to his pleasant surprise they had left. He wasn’t particularly disappointed that they fled; it was something the male was used to- being alone. He never expected anything from anyone and told them to think the same of him. It made things easier for him that way. Made things simple.
The tall young man ducked just as a metal pipe was swung, aiming for his head; Tsume lashed out with a quick jab to the stomach with his clenched fist and watched as the man crumpled forward gasping for the air that was shot from his lungs. Just then, he caught flashes of the previous wolves back in the fray, and his eyes found Toboe.
”What’re you doing?” Tsume called out in alarm, though perhaps it sounded more as if he were offended than anything. This attention, caused the grey wolf blow. Upon seeing this, one of the men saw this as his chance to swing at the former leader. Metal connected with ribs and left a small laceration just below them which elicited a small, startled cry from the male who, in turn whirled on the stocky attacker and landed a blow to his chest with his knife. Now angry (more at himself than anyone) That he had let his guard down and slipped up, the white-haired male stepped up his game and rounded on another opponent. By now there was only a small handful left and he say Blue squaring off with one so that only left…
Golden eyes locked onto the man holding the gun. With a scowl, he held the dun pointed at the young wolf. Those same eyes widened and a small gasp emitted from the tall figure. Acting on impulse, Tsume dashed forward, his legs acting as springs and launching him forward with as much speed he could muster. Almost instantly the grey wolf reached the ring leader and slammed into him with his shoulder with enough force to knock him over. Several shots rang through empty air- luckily. The two rolled and grappled as a cloud of dust rose and briefly concealed their forms briefly. During this time, the ring leader opened his eyes to see a large dark canine looming over him, teeth bared and snarling, eyes glaring. The man gave a silent cry, too shocked and afraid to emit any sort of noise. As the dust cleared, Tsume donned the mask of the swarthy-skinned white-haired man once again. His blade dangerously close to the man’s throat, his visage revealed a vicious snarl, teeth showing in disgust.
Only now did the man make a strangle cry before Tsume pressed the blade to his throat. The sounds ceased. The men stopped fighting to gawk at their leader being pinned by their former leader; they knew it was over.
”Get out of my city.” Tsume growled in a low venomous tone, one that spoke of murder if disobedient. Tsume climbed off the other man, blade still poised. The other man backed away in a clumsy crawl before scrambling to his feet in hysterics.
”You heard him, let’s go, let’s go!” He cried in a shrill voice before awkwardly diving into the passenger seat of the vehicle, the others followed suit and hopped into the vehicle and took off leaving the three wolves where they previously stood. Tsume, body tense and rigid didn’t move, his eyes not wavering on the car that began to shrink as it gunned it down the road as if it too were afraid of the grey wolf’s wrath.

From behind, Blue heard the approaching sound of paws beating into the concrete. Of course it was the rust hued wolf. Could she honestly have expected him to stay lurking around the bend? As the younger leapt past her to face off with her opponent, the she-wolf gritted her teeth. "I told you to stay put!" Blue growled, but they fell on deaf ears. In one swift leap, Toboe had pounced on the bear of a man, fangs sinking into his vital areas. Within a few blood curdling seconds, the man was a lifeless heap of flesh. The tan female winced at the sight. Had the little wolf not barged in, the humans life possibly could have been spared. What a waste. As the said wolf turned to face her, Blue scoffed, forming an agitated scowl. To anyone watching the scene, it would have looked awkward. A grown woman, speaking with her 'dog'. But even with his barks and growls, she she-wolf understood him. "Don't confuse yourself into thinking I needed your help." She retorted, watching as he left to aid the other male. 'Pups...' Blue sighed.
Her attention was quickly brought back in front of her, as another attacker squared his shoulders at her. In no ways did she intend to redeem herself towards the other two. What would their opinion matter anyways? As soon as this melee was over she would depart, wishing to never cross paths with these two again. As the she-wolf had guessed from the start, her kin, or half-kin, were nothing more than trouble. Associating with them would be dangerous, and she still had to take in old man Edgar into consideration. Whether they were wolves or not, the human held more meaning to the half-breed. As the man came at her with a k-bar, slashing the air around her, Blue dodged them with ease. The first man had proved words wouldn't work with these humans, so she would somehow have to subdue the attacker without killing him. 'Him...' Blue grinned. With his second lunge, the lithe wolf skirted to the side, waiting for the man's step to widen. As the gap between his legs grew, Blue kicked up her boot, smashing the top of her foot forcefully upward against his groin. Almost immediately the man stopped, dropping his large knife to the ground. Clutching his damaged area, he fell to the floor, curling into a tight fetal position. He was practically on the verge of tears, rocking himself as he groaned in pain. Blue 'humphed' shaking her head at the sight.
Turning once more to face the two male wolves, she prepared herself to fend off another when the head honcho made her pause. In a flurry of movement and acceleration of the vehicle, those who were still alive quickly peeled out of the alleyway, leaving only the dead. Some comrades they were. As the disappeared from view, Blue let her sky hued gaze linger upon the mess of blood. The smell of the dead human burned her nose, whilst another smell caused her stomach to churn. She stiffened. What was that other stench? "You're hurt." Blue stated firmly. She now faced both of them, arms folded tightly across her chest. Had her wolfish guise faltered, she would have appeared broad chested, ears thrust forward intently. While she had originally been addressing Toboe, Blue let her gaze rest briefly on Tsume. "Both of you are. Damn fools." Turning her face up to the sky, the she-wolf estimated what time it was by the hues being painted and shadows being cast. Perhaps there was a bit more time she could spare before returning to Edgar's house. Inhaling deeply, Blue knew she was going to regret what she said next. "Let me help you. I know they'll heal quikly on their own, but allow me to at least clean and wrap your wounds."

The fight was sudden, and the ending was the same. The space between the beginning and the end left Toboe confused. A strange sense of protection surged through him, but with the need to fight lost, Toboe was left shaken. Looking around at the human bodies, Toboe quivered and sat on his knees. Placing the palms of his hands against his forehead, as if the pressure would cast away demons plaguing his mind. Looking down on his legs, his eyes caught the pigments of the blood, shuffling his stomach further. Feeling something crawl up his throat, Tobe lurched forward and retched. All it was, was a dry heave, leaving him gasping for air. Toboe blessed the fact that he didn't eat anything to recent. But while the dry heaving continued, Toboe was ready for the pain to cease.
Looking up at the gray wolf, Toboe said, "I was only trying...to help." Trying to stand up, Toboe looked away from the gore and gave attention to the she-wolf. Remembering that he had stored her food. Running towards the pavement, his strength slowly started to regain. Jumping against the walls, he dug for the bag, and removed it slowly, brushing off all derby that clung to the paper. Jumping to the ground, he made a slow return to the group. Looking back to the two, Toboe tried to smile, but it was broken and disfigured. Almost awkward in the way it formed against the blood that was splattered against his face. "I'm Toboe. I think we should get the names out there..." Shrugging, he fiddled with the bag and looked at the she-wolf. Indicating towards it, he dropped it slowly to the ground and took a few steps away. Food wasn't going to agree with him right now, but the smell of the items contained in the bag were intoxicating.
The wolf mentioned about the wounds on the wolves, but Toboe didn't think of it until then. Looking at his arm, he bit his lip. Torn fabric was left to show the gruesome affect of a knife to the arm. Blood trickled down his arm, making Toboe just that more unstable. Moving his arm around, he moved the cut away from the cut of the shirt, wanting to keep it covered. Placing his right hand against the wound, he hoped to slow some of the blood flow. "I didn't think it was that bad. But yeah. I'll take first aide." Looking over at the male wolf with a shy look, he wondered what exactly he would do next. He wasn't happy about Toboe following him, and the she-wolf following him. If anything, they might have just helped the wolf out, but he didn't look like the thank you type. "Sorry for chasing you...it just looked...interesting." Shrugging once more, Toboe found a stone that he sat on. Bodies littered the ground, and blood soiled it.
The idea of killing a human was disturbing, but Toboe tried to pass away every hint of it. A more pressing concern could be, 'What is this wolf?' Another wolf in the city was strange, sure. But this male-wolf had a stranger air to him. The gang members addressed him with an almost familiarity. It was interesting to find the she-wolf too, though. With the recent Nobles activity, he wasn't sure where all the wolves where. What sides they choose, and what they would do for their own goals.

The tall man stood inert, eyes watching the vehicle finally disappear in the distance. His mind turned over the events that had happened- the chase, the confrontation, additional party members, and the eventual defeat of his assailants; though, that wasn’t the end he had in mind. His mind then wandered, following the trail of the curious ache in his side. Briefly, his mind reeled with images of what happened; he had been injured after focusing on the other two. That distracted had cost him. The damage was minor, but it was damage nonetheless. Tsume looked down to inspect the wound, a hand rising to lift his vest that partially covered the abrasion. The blood that had smeared around the cut had already begun to dry, but the wound itself still wept slightly, a small river trickled down to pool at the lip of his pants. He frowned with disapproval as this wouldn’t have happened had it not been for… ”I’m Toboe.”The rust coloured wolf’s voice reached his ears just then. So the boy had a name. But that was pushed aside when the previous words said by the woman finally registered in his mind. He turned to look at her, annoyance flashed across his features at her audacity to call him a fool for her folly. ”I told you to leave. I didn’t need your help! And because of you and the runt I was hit. I would’ve been fine if I wasn’t saving your asses.” His gold eyes moved from the woman to Toboe, he fully faced him now. ”Sticking your nose in other people’s business will get you killed.” He said, his tone reaching the familiar gravely nature. ”And just because I saved your scrawny ass this time doesn’t mean it’ll become a habit so don’t think you can go following me around.” He added. With this said he gave a final glance at Blue before shoving his hands in his front pockets and walking off, heading to the alley from whence he had entered. Slight irritation still evident in his slow and deliberate yet confident stride. [Sorry for the wait. Posting at school is fuuun~ ]

Heaving a sigh of relief, Blue let her eyes close briefly. At least neither party member was hurt terribly. Their wounds would be easy to clean and wrap, and then they could part their ways, never to meet again. Or, at least, that is what she she-wolf desired. Coming into contact with fellow wolves would only cause problems further down the road. And so far, she had managed just fine on her own. The need for being with other wolves, to her, was pointless. She was content with her life here, alongside Edgar. Things were running smoothly, he offered lodging, whilst she looked after them. It was a companion relationship, and not something she would carelessly throw away. But by the way the silver male was acting, Blue figured there would be no need to even consider such a thing. He obviously wasn't seeking any sort of attachment with her and the runt of a wolf, which to Blue, was perfectly understandable.
As Toboe returned with her purchases, she opened her gaze, letting it follow the bag as he placed it down and backed away. He was cautious, yet respectful to her space. Obviously he wasn't dimwitted, just young and naive. Bending to pick up her goods, Blue offered as warm a smile as she could. After all, she was going to fix up his wound a bit, and putting up a cold, stoic front was only an act. "Toboe? What an interesting name. I'm Blue." Her eyes formed smiles of their own, curling upward with her grin. This wasn't an act. True, she had been rather annoyed at stumbling into this situation, but Blue couldn't deny the fact that it was rather exciting. Much different than her day-to-day lifestyle. Letting a slender hand rummage through the brown bag, the shifted through the items. "I only offered to help because I had picked up some bandages for my Edgar. He is old, you see, and constantly bumping himself, or slipping. I'm to the point where I figure the next step will be to cover him in bubble wrap." Blue released a light hearted chuckle. The air between them all was still thick with suspicion, mostly from the silver male, but that didn't mean she couldn't be friendly, even if only directed at the smaller male. "Ah, here we are." Pulling her hand out from the sack, a spool shaped cloth wrapping in her grasp. Allowing full attention on Toboe, the she-wolf took a tentative few steps forward, crouching down beside the boy to allow better access to his wound. Her long fingers gently picked at the fabric, being sure not to cause too much movement that the scabs would reopen. Flattening the folds of his sleeve away from the open cut let it be fully visible. Reaching back into her bag, Blue produced a small flask, that when opened, offered a strong odor. The writing which stated '80 Proof' could only guarantee what was in it. "Tsk. It's deep, but you'll be able to heal in no time. Now, this will burn, so don't pull away." Gripping his arm firmly with one hand, Blue used her mouth to unscrew the cap, and slowly let a stream of the gin splash into Toboe's gash with her free hand. After a few seconds, she recapped the flash, and deposited it back into her sack. Placing the free end of the bandage directly under where the wound would be, Blue set to work wrapping the bandage tightly around his arm, ensuring his shirt didn't flip back to contaminate the wound. Tying it snugly, and being sure to place the knot directly over the wound, Blue rose to her feet. "All done. Now it may be stiff, but that's normal." Offering a pleasant smile, the she-wolf was about to turn and address the other males wound when a savage tone erupted from him.
'So, he is under the impression that he saved us? Hmph.' As he turned on his heel and strode away, Blue did all she could to bite her tongue. But, whatever she had done wasn't enough. With the bag now at her feet, she placed both hands firmly on her hips, yelling out at the male who was walking away from them. "Excuse me? You saved us? Ha, I think it's the other way around. We came to help you. Be thankful that we did." Pursing her lips, icy hued eyes glared daggers at Tsume and all the cockiness that he was comprised of. Arrogance was definitely something that struck a nerve on the she-wolf.
